From Nev Pearson, Salt Ayre Cycling Association
E/1/2 race 1 hour + 5 laps
After the usual early skirmishes a strong break of 6 riders formed and stayed away gaining around half-a-lap eventually. In the closing laps James Gullen (Team Hope Racing) decided not to leave it to a sprint and took off alone to finish with a good gap over the sprint for 2nd place, won by Neil Robinson (Lune RCC) whilst Jack Sadler (Vanillabikes.com) made a formality of the bunch sprint for 7th.
Thanks to Vanillabikes.com for sponsorship, Tony Sweeney and Geoff Newcombe for Commisairing, members of Kent Valley RC for marshalling, Dennis for manning the lap board, bell and flags and Kay Atkinson for running the sign-on and result desk.
