Report/Result: Westpoint Circuit Race

In-form Andy Perkins (Mid Devon CC – Colin Lewis Cycles) wins the E/1/2 Westpoint Circuit Race promoted by Exeter University CC – Double Locks.

Perkins raced clear of the bunch in the early stages of the race and was quickly joined by Oscar Hutchings (Exeter University), with Perkins driving the pair clear around the testing half mile circuit. By the half hour point they lapped the field, then dragging the bunch up to a escape group containing Al Murison (Team CMI – Greenover), George Pym and Pete Haworth (both Spin-ROTOR).

Perkins jumped clear of Hutchings with two laps remaining to take the victory with Murison leaving the bunch in the final laps to take the final podium spot.
