World Champion, Corrine, was among 9 riders that took a lap on the peloton early in the race.  “I knew I wasn’t going to win a sprint against Laura and Dani so attacked with 7 laps to go.” “It wasn’t an attempt to take another lap, but simply give myself a chance to stay ahead of the pack and take the win. There was defiantly a miss calculation behind, as when the peloton finished, Laura thought she had won as they didn’t realise I was also a lap up. That worked to my advantage I guess, and I’m really please with the tactical way I rode.”

“2013 has been a great year for the team. We have had some outstanding performances with a new group of riders. It’s hard to get everyone working as one unit in a short space of time as we have riders together so little due to other commitments. Corrine has been a stand out rider in the UK over the last 2 years. That’s been noticed and she’s had the opportunity to try her hand at riding pilot for the Paracycling squad, ending up with a rainbow jersey recently” commented team manager Stefan Wyman.

“We’re very pleased Corrine will be staying with our team in 2014 in what will see a revamped lineup looking to challenge on all fronts again. The Womens Tour will add a huge amount of focus to the UK scene and we will be looking to prove we deserve an invitation to that race. Corrine is a rider that in our opinion can go as far as she wants in the sport, both with the pilot work and on the road and track on her own, so it’ll be interesting to see that progression over the coming seasons.”

“I’m over the moon to be national scratch race champion, what a way to finish an amazing season with a great team. Bring on 2014.” concluded Corrine.
