The races which really shone were the women’s race when Iona Sewell and Brit Tate – both of GB Cycles – were started on nearly a whole lap handicap and still won with a commanding 50second lead.

Which was followed by the E123 race which circulated quickly until the final few laps which splintered the field to individual riders.

Here’s hoping that the last few races at the wonderful York Sport Village circuit attract a lot more riders. There is still time to grab a few more points
