News: Veteran’s stage race in Catalonia

Well known veteran Nick Giles of Wrexham RC is organising a veteran’s stage race in Catalonia next May open to over 40’s

Entrants will be able to use either LVRC or TLI licences. Nick said: “I have enjoyed racing under both banner’s and felt I wanted to put something back in the way of events. I have arranged that entrants can use either licence so I am looking forward to seeing plenty of home riders. I am involved with training camps in the area and can assure vets there are some wonderful roads.”

“SANTA SUSANNA MASTERS VUELTA 2014” May 23-25 inclusive
– 4 stages over 3 days
– Masters only forming 3 races; (1) 40 – 49 (2) 50 – 59 (3) 60+ *TBC*
– Teams of 4 – Club & Composite accepted (individual entries will be placed into composite teams)

Stage 1. 12.4 km Team Time Trial – Flat (road bikes only)

Stage 2a. 85 km Road Race (up & down day with 1 main climb, highest point 430m)

— Entry will be only taken through ‘riderhq’ (available soon)
— Generous Prize money will be on offer across all age groups
— Overall Race leader jersey, Combative Jersey & Best Team Jersey (tbc)

— Entry fee: £70 per rider
— Timing Chips for riders (deposit will be required)**
