About Endura’s Movie

The ‘Cross at the Castle is held over two days in the grounds of Glengorm Castle, a Victorian country house on the north-western coast of the island, with views out over the Atlantic to both the Inner and Outer Hebrides. Perched on the edge of Europe, the Isle of Mull can be hit by fierce winter storms and when race day arrived on Saturday the rain lashed down and the wind tore across the exposed section of the course.

The ferries connecting the island to the mainland might have been cancelled for 24 hours, but the racing went ahead. Once Saturday’s racing was over, and the riders had warmed up, there was a ceilidh in Aros Hall on the Tobermory’s famous waterfront which featured a little Scottish Country dancing to further punish tired legs. As a result, Sunday’s racing was more relaxed and mildly hungover affair…
