Result – Hemel Hempstead CC hilly 21.5

Michael Broadwith wins the the first running of the Hemel Hempstead CC hilly event as a memorial to Sid Latchford, who ran the Hemel Hilly for it’s entire duration for almost all the 80’s and 90’s up until a year before his passing.

His two sons were attending the event and acted as marshals in his memory. The event has had a gap of some 15 years since Sid stopped promoting it but we felt the time is right for it’s resurrection in his name.

This course used about 80% of the very first version of the hilly so a fitting tribute and the field was a great one so the response to the event was extremely positive.

The winner is a local rider and a worthy recipient of the first Sid Latchford Memorial Trophy – Michael Broadwith, Arctic Tacx RT.
