Result – SCCU Hardriders 21

It was says the organiser, an exceptional’s day racing in the Don Glover Memorial Hardriders with over fifty women taking part in a full field, the biggest entry of women riders in a non championship event for very many years.

It was the first race in the Woman’s South East Women’s Time Trial Series, inaugurated by Rebacca Slack. With two laps of a very hilly, and bumpy course, it was a difficult start for many of the newcomers to time trialling but all apparently enjoyed the event. With all the women riders starting in the first half of the field there was a much greater feeling of the women all competing against each other.

Natalie Creswick, Team MuleBar Girls, was a clear winner of the Women’s event with a 56.40, enough to give her 14th place in the men’s race which was won by Steve Kane, Brighton Excelsior CC with a 50.35.
