The long course (for men younger than 60 and women under 50) was 157km with just under 2000m elevation. The short course (for the older competitors) was 97km with approx 1000m elevation. About 20 Brits took to the start line, with highlights in results being 4th place finishes by both Malcolm Smith (St Ives CC, 50-54) and ex-pro Geoff Wiles (San Fairy Ann CC, 70+). Malcolm was in a 5-way sprint for the win and coveted rainbow jersey (yes, these are awarded for amateurs and masters too!).

He initially crossed the line in 5th place, but a protest relegated the winner to the back of the group, hence moving the other 4 up a place. Geoff was not so close to winning, but led the second pack from his age group across the line.

Other notable results (within 10mins of class winners) include:
Tony Lowe (unknown club, 40-44) 21st
Matthew Lythgoe (Getmeabike.com Racing Team, 40-44) 36th
Paul Harknett (London Dynamo, 55-59) 21st
Roger McGlynn (unknown club, 65-69) 23rd
David Rutherford (Solihull CC, 65-69) 29th
Karen Poole (Team GBCycles, 35-39) 13th
