After a successful 2017 season Morvelo Basso have added more strength to their 2018 line up ready to tackle National B’s, the Tour Series and selected Premier’s to their race calendar

Morvelo Basso Squad/Sponsors Announcement

Following on from a successful 2017 season Morvelo Basso have added more strength to their 2018 line up. Continuing the development once again with title sponsors Morvelo Bicycle Apparel and Basso Bikes the team are aiming for more ambitious results whilst the management and sponsors plan a way forward to make the team sustainable for the long term.

Adding additional fire power to their already strong set up, which saw them grace the top spot a total of 41 times in 2017, they add current British Age-Group and European Masters champion Ken Buckley. Along with the experienced Dante Carpenter, previously at JLT and Tom Bracegridle who returns from three years racing in Belgium supported by The Dave Rayner Fund the squad also welcomes the young talent of James Ireson, Steve Rees-Clark and Jake Yarranton.

The focus of Morvelo Basso will again be National B’s and the Tour Series. However, with great ambition and drive in the squad to mix with the best, the team will be adding selected Premier A ‘s to their race calendar.

‘’We are a team with great focus and professionalism to see how far we can go, whilst keeping our feet firmly on the ground. Our aim has always been to have fun and enjoy what we do and that’s to race our bikes. We are all naturally competitive and have a great desire to win but we must enjoy it as well. Team Manger Adam Moore also expressed the challenges of securing sponsorship for 2018.

‘’It’s a very tough industry right now and getting the support needed, even to operate at our level is very tough. Nevertheless, I won’t use that as a reason not to aim high in trying to achieve the big goals we have set. We have managed to secure some brilliant sponsors who believe in what we do, and I thank them all for committing to help team next year. I am also pleased to announce an exciting new product which will be launched next month to help give the team a long term and stable platform for the future.

This will enable us to develop and support our riders and to help them reach their maximum potential.
