News: Enter now for Dudley Track GP (June 10)

Entries are still open for the Dudley Grand Prix on June 10, penultimate round of the Men’s Hard Track Endurance series and national Women’s Omnium league. The long-standing event is held on the Halesowen velodrome close to the M5 motorway west of Birmingham.

The men’s races include a full programme of support events. “We had our best ever entry last year,” said organiser William Fotheringham, “and this enabled us to split the riders into two streams for the support events, based on ability and age. We are hoping to be able to do the same again this year.”

The women’s omnium round last year was won by Jess Roberts, while the main men’s event of the meeting, the Billy Jones memorial 10-mile, was cancelled last year after a crash late on in the race, with the endurance league points awarded instead for an earlier points race, won by local rider Jacob Tipper.
