The RideLondon-Surrey Classic on July 29 where no British teams except Team Sky compete, sees a record number of WorldTour teams race the event
News: Teams for RideLondon
This year’s RideLondon-Surrey Classic on Sunday 29 July will have the most UCI WorldTour teams ever seen in a British race.
A record 16 teams from the world’s highest tier will be on the Start Line of the Classic which is the highest number ever for a race in Britain apart from the visits of the Tour de France.
The most successful men’s team in the world in 2018 is Quick-Step Floors and they headline the entries.
The Belgian squad has had an incredible 2018 with 49 victories already and they will be looking to repeat their win at the 2016 RideLondon-Surrey Classic when Tom Boonen was the first man to cross the iconic finish line on The Mall.
Mitchelton-Scott, Team Sky, BORA-Hansgrohe and BMC Racing – who won the team time-trial in the third stage of the Tour de France – are the other teams who make up the top five in the UCI rankings and they will all be bringing teams to London to compete for the richest prize in one-day cycling.
