Ambassador’s for Estrella Bikes are not just in the UK but in Europe as well and over in Ireland, there is Shannon Kelly, who is an Irish triathlete currently on the Irish development squad for triathlon.

“I currently train with the Triathlon Ireland High Performance unit at the University of Limerick, of which I am also a student of” Shannon told VeloUK. “I am currently in my second year of my medical degree and starting my third year in September.”
“At present my season is in full swing in terms of races. This year I qualified to race in Triathlon Irelands elite triathlon Superseries comprising of the top 20 female and male triathletes of the country to race in the elite draft legal triathlon format. The series comprises of four races running until the end of September. I am currently in the top 5 of the series after the first race. In addition I am currently the 18-24 age group National champion in Olympic distance triathlon and 5th ranked overall women in the country for this event as of this month.”
Shannon currently owns the an Estrella Clasica road bike in blue/pink, with 10 speed SRAM for my training bike and which I took along to triathlon Ireland training camp in Aguilas Spain earlier this year. For racing this season, I use the Eestrella Ligero aero road bike with Cero RC45 wheels and Shimano Ultegra group set making it a very speedy number and perfect for draft legal racing”.
Shannon adds “the best thing about Estrella Bikes is the quality and reliability. I have never once had an issue with any of my bikes and I can always be assured that combined with my training, I will have a speedy bike split due to its great geometry and fit. On training rides, I can go for four hours in comfort knowing I am on a great bike. The colour schemes give so much variety and I love how the brand name Estrella – Spanish for Star – something we are all reaching towards”.
“My season is far from over but my highlight so far was wining my very first cycling road race in Limerick in June and getting to race with the Ligero with the top athletes of Ireland in the superseries.
