Dan Bigham of Ribble Pro Cycling wins the Hoops 3 Day stage race in Milton Keynes; Simon Wilson (Ribble Pro Cycling), Matthew Clements, Charles Walker and Dan the stage winners
![]() |
Result: Hoops 3 Day
The event was very close with 20 riders within a minute of the winner. It looked as though the result would be decided on bonus seconds until Rupert Graham broke away on the last lap of the road stage with Simon Wilson glued to his wheel protecting the lead of Dan Bigham gained in the two circuit races. They succeeded in pulling out an advantage of over 50 seconds by the line with Simon taking the stage but it was not quite enough for Rupert to overtake Dan on total time and he had to settle for 2nd place overall at 7 seconds with Simon moving up to 3rd at 9 seconds.
