The 59th Edition of the Eddie Soens Memorial at Aintree on Saturday was won by Jacob Tipper of Ribble Weldtitle from Joe Holt and Matt Taylor.

The Eddie Soens Memorial 2020 has been won by Jacob Tipper of Ribble Weldtitle from Joe Holt and Matt Taylor.

The race saw the scratch group catch the groups ahead of it quicker than I’ve seen before despite the small number of riders in that scratch group. There was then a lot of attacking with Simon Wilson (Ribble Weldtite) one of the most noticeable with several efforts off the front.

In the end though a seven man group went clear with three Ribble Weldtite and despite the Matt Bottrill led group catching them on that final lap, Tipper was already racing for the win just getting the better of Joe Holt.
