Report/Result: Mam Nick Hill Climb

Saturday 12th October

World Tour rider, Team GB star and Giro stage winner Lizzy Banks and current national hill climb champion Andrew Feather took advantage of favourable conditions to smash course records on the fearsome Mam Nick hill climb in Derbyshire in Rutland CC’s promotion. Banks took 8 seconds off the womens course record, clocking 7:34.7 on the 2.1km, 10% test.

Feather came close to an unprecedented sub-6 minute ride, smashing the mens course record by 13 seconds with 6:03.7. The team record also fell, with Team B38 Cycles in Motion taking 3 seconds off their own record, with a combined 19:35.4, and 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the overall event, led home by last year’s winner, Andy Nichols.
