Result: Junior Men’s Tour of Yorkshire
In the end, race leader from day 1, Max Poole, defended his jersey solidly as the race made its way through the beautiful Howardian Hills. Surprisingly, it proved difficult to make any progress off the front of the race and the stage win was contested in a bunch sprint -won impressively by Noah Hobbs. This all left the podium unchanged with Max Poole (Fensham Howes MAS Design JRT) in first place, Josh Giddings (Z Junior Race Team) in second and Josh Tarling (FlandersColorGaloo) in third place. Tyler Hannay (Isle of Man) made his trip across the Irish Sea from the IOM worthwhile by winning the King of the Mountains competition and he also finished 4th overall.

DAY 1: A great result by Max Poole from Fensham Howes – Mas Design JRT in the time trial meant he started the road stage in yellow. A fantastic brave ride by Lukas Nerurkar (VC Londres) gave him a great stage win but not quite enough of a gap over Max to change the overall leadership of the race. This all means that going into Day 2 Max still leads from the two Josh’s – Giddings (Z Junior Race Team) and Tarling (Flanders Color Galloo). It’s all quite close so everything is to play for on tomorrow’s stage. Ben Bright (Tofauti Everyone Active) leads the climbing competition.
