Team Wiggins had one their best domestic results of the season in a 1-2 at the Skipton Grand Prix. After a fast start where nothing was getting away, Rob Scott managed to open a gap and went solo for lap after lap whilst behind his teammate Tom Pidcock had several attempts to get away to join him.

Rob Scott and Tom Pidcock go 1-2 in the Skipton GP whilst only seconds behind the sprint is full on for third place won by Matt Gibson

Seizing an opportunity, Pidcock jumped past some teammates, telling them to block the road to give him a gap and he then chased Scott down to give the team two at the front of the race. Their gap was never very much, twelve seconds give or take a few, but they were going flat stick whilst behind, the chase too was full gas as various teams took up the chase.

The closing laps saw the gap come right down but the two held on. Scott was sprinting for the line when Pidcock gave him the nod and the two raised their arms in unison as Scott crossed the line first just ahead of Pidcock who defends his champions jersey in Stockton on Friday.
