Thomas Heal sprints to victory over Isaac Mundy and Ollie Maxwell to win the 2020 Edition of the Jock Wadley Memorial road race at Colchester. In short, a break formed on the first lap and more and more riders joined it until it was too big and the likes of Mundy, McNamara and Maxwell among others, drilled it and reduced the group to six or seven and they dominated the second half of the race.
Riders tried to escape but it was the group that contested the up hill tail wind finish where Ollie Maxwell went with 300 to go, and found both Mundy and then Heal coming past and the celebration after the finish line showed it meant a lot to the young rider who beat Mundy hy half a wheel according to the judges.
Top 3 – L_R, Isaac Mundy, Thomas Heal and Ollie Maxwell
