Lucy Neatham solo’d to victory in the team Onform Junior Women/Under 23 National Series Road Race on Sunday (April 9) on the circuit around Whitham Hall prep school

A long solo effort, Lucy Neatham, won the race

Riders roll out of the school at Whitham Hall to start four and half laps of the 11 mile rolling hills circuit

Each time the race came past, the peloton was largely together with just a few stragglers chasing to get back on. Seeing the race every five miles hid many of the attacks and based on the excellent social media coverage from the race, riders having a go and attacking included Amy Harvey, Imogen Wolff, Eva Callinan (with Esther Wong, and
Mari Porton).

Lucy Neatham on the move up the climb into Witham on the Hill. Matilda McKibben tried to chase Lucy down but was unable to bridge across and was then caught.

The bunch come through the finish with a lap to go and Alderney Baker makes a move down the left hand side. Isabel Mayes and Lucy Glover were two other riders mentioned on social media making moves to get clear as well
