RR Result: Proper Northern Road Races

Small but brilliantly formed! 👏🏁👍 This was always going to be a difficult race weekend with so many calendar clashes around the country but Cold Dark North’s plucky little Proper Northern Road Race Series delivered a couple of belting races with frustratingly diminished numbers for Round 2 at Oakenclough! 🙄💚💙

The Men’s Race was won by Damien Clayton finally escaping the tightly packed but active peloton on the last lap ahead of Jenson Young and Josh Housely. The bunch rolled in together not too far behind.

In the Women’s race, Das Hutchinson BrotherCycling dominated again but with great competition – the pair of Lizi Brooke and Tammy Miller spent most of the race off the front eventually building a lead of more than four minutes.

It was Miller that edged the epic final sprint on Delph Lane to take the win. Teammate Robyn Clay won the kick from the bunch to take third. 🥇🥈🥉
