Following-on from a very successful season where the Bianchi Dama team stepped up to the National Elite Road Race Series, with an excellent 7th place in the team rankings, we’re pleased to announce our expanded team for 2018.

We’re delighted to say that Becky Womersley is joining the squad from Drops Cycling. Becky will bring enormous experience and strength to the team, having ridden at UCI level for the past two years. Becky is exactly the type of pro-active rider that characterises our team, is someone who has a deep understanding of the sport and what it takes to enjoy the racing life, both on and off the bike.

Also joining us is Bethany Taylor, who at only 19 has a wealth of experience to draw upon already, is a super strong all-rounder, who we’re sure will flourish with the support of the team around her. Like everyone else on the team, Bethany races hard, embraces what the sport can offer and has the really strong character that is so important.

Two fabulous additions that will compliment the team so well.

Sadly, Charlotte Colclough needs to take a step back from the squad as she undergoes treatment for a serious medical condition. Charlotte has developed Illiac Artery Endrofibrosis, which severely limits blood flow to the legs, and she will undergo surgery in due course. This is a condition that needs exposure and understanding within the cycling community, as the particular demands of a cycling lifestyle can cause this condition to develop. Both the team and Charlotte will, in time, raise awareness where we can, and bring information to as many cyclists as possible. Charlotte was, and is, a fundamental part of the team’s success and growth; she will forever have a place on the team, however that manifests itself in the future, post her treatment and rehabilitation.
