Steel Davis building contractors and Via Roma events are excited to announce they will be headline sponsors support and managing a new race team for 2018.

The team will be focussing on Road and Circuit events with objectives of tasting success in all regional races along with podium’s in National B and A races. The team will be made up of eight riders.

Marcin Bialoblocki back in his UK Youth days winning the Tour of the Fenns

The team has some considerable fire power that will be led by the Polish Express Marcin Bialoblocki who tasted success in the last few years with One Pro Cycling and the Polish National team CCC as well as breaking various comp records in time trials. He will be supported by long standing professionals Rhys Lloyd, Andrew Williams and Mark Perry.

The team has also signed Jacob Pilkington and Lewis Braithwaite who have both progressed through the ranks over the last two years and hope to develop further with the more experienced riders.

Marcin returns to his roots and in the early stages of his career joined Ben, Grant and Gary when the team ‘Sports Beans’ was formed. Sports Beans gave Marcin his first UK professional contract and now Marcin has decided to focus on UK events again after spending two years with Polish national team CCC, Marcin feels he has come full circle and wants to focus on objectives within the UK while spending more time with his young family. Marcin is a clear team leader, and will give the team real focus at carefully selected National A races. The riders in the team are excited to support Marcin and the team long term objectives.

Although the team has been put together at late notice, they have had lots of support from sponsors and although its a small team, the team managment believe they will make a serious impact within the UK scene. The team is looking to create a unique identity that takes cycling back to the 70’s and 80’s that will give cycling fans something a little different to talk about. This will be backed up with the signing of Marcin who this year rode the Giro d’Italia and smashed the UK national 10 and 25 miles TT records.

The team have a clear focus of building slowly and having realistic objectives with the modest budget they have. The team is a five year project to join some of the other leading teams in the country such as Madison, Canyon, Cherie Pridham Racing and JLT Condor.
