Salt Ayre Cycling Association kicked off its Summer Tuesday Evening Series with a new format of race, a 25 lap handicap tempo race. The block handicap had 3 groups, 4th cats, 3rd cats & women and E/1/2 cats. Points were awarded to first over the line every lap from lap 5 to 25 and BC points for the final lap placings. It only took the E/1/2 group 5 laps to catch the 3rd cats but a little longer to catch a hard working quartet of 4th cats. A break of 5 then took off to dominate the race with Harvey Stroh winning the final sprint and the highest lap score, closely followed by John Bardsley and Ben Wiggins. Emma Jeffers finished 10th and first female.
