With the rain coming down but a clear circuit the organisers decided to run last night’s race as a handicap where Chris Quin rode away from the group to finish 2 minutes clear

With the rain coming down but a clear circuit the organisers decided to run last night’s race as a handicap. With only 37 starters, they also decided to use the old finish as there was a bit of water at the bottom of the Quarry finish.

Three groups set off with the E & F group setting off first followed by the C & D group then the Senior’s A & B group. The C & D group working like a team time trial soon caught the front group where Chris Quin rode away from the group to finish 2 minutes clear and take the win with Alan Broadbent taking second and John Crook third.
